If you have a healthy marriage, you'll like this movie. If your marriage is in crisis, this movie just might save your life. Close friends and family know that my marriage has been in crisis, but I don't advertise that here. I try to keep things pretty positive on my blog, but today - for the sake of anyone else who might need what we needed - I'm going to admit that my marriage has been in trouble for 3 years out of the 4. We are so different (like salt and pepper!) that every single thing we ever do ends up being something to fight over. I am not going to get into the details because they don't matter and I don't want to bring up the past, but you should know that we watched this movie as a last ditch effort before we gave up on each other.
It was given to us by my mother-in-law Michele, who told me that my husband (her son) really needed to see this movie. She said it would do great things for our marriage, so I took it home and we sat down to watch it together, not believing anything would be able to reverse the scars we've developed over the last 3 years (we spent the first year apart from each other). I can't even tell you the experience we had... It is too sacred to me, what we went through watching that movie, to speak of in detail. All I can tell you is that no matter what stage you are in life, this movie will change how you see EVERYTHING. It was sent straight to me from God (through my incredible mother-in-law), and I am sending the word out. YOU NEED THIS MOVIE.
If I were rich, every single person I know would have a copy of this movie in their hands, instead of just reading about it on my blog. And you better believe if you are getting married and inviting me, you already know what you'll be receiving as a wedding gift. It is essential to success. I have heard you can rent it through RedBox, although I haven't checked that out, but I recommend just buying it.
