Temperature and taxes [and other nonsense]

So, that post the other day that said it was 9 degrees? Nonsense. It's been 5 degrees the last two days, with a wind chill of -5 degrees. I'm not joking when I say we're freezing our buns off out here. I hate this state so much.

So I'm working on getting my house organized, and I finished doing my taxes today! Woo hoo! Tax return here we come. It's going to pay off our washer and dryer, our credit cards we ran up to get home to Utah for Christmas, and some extra to throw into savings. How fantastic is that? :) I'm way excited.

Here's a thought for today. This is what I've been thinking about all weekend:

I think it's ridiculous how we all walk around saying, "Do what makes you happy! That's all that matters in life."

But when it comes right down to it, we all judge each other based on what's "right," which inevitably involves doing what DOESN'T make you happy for the sake of someone ELSE's happiness.

That's the standard everyone holds you to in the end.

But we all go around wearing a sign that says, "take care of yourself! Don't submit!"
We don't mean it.

We all walk around hurting each other and then whining when someone does to us exactly what we would have done to them if we had gotten the chance first. No one is as innocent as they make themselves out to be. No one.

....Which is exactly why I think we have no right to judge.
