Good News Today :)

The pediatrician came in this morning and told us that he gets to move to Step 3 of the feeding protocol - which means Max is in charge of when and how much he eats, and I get to nurse him exclusively. This means way less sleep for me, but way better for our breastfeeding plans! I have been worried that the only nurse every 6 hours thing was going to mess up his ability to learn to be a breastfed baby, so I'm happy to hear that we get to work on it more now. This also means that he's gained weight for two days consecutively, and he's been able to show improvement in his eating patterns when he is nursing.

If all goes perfectly and he gains weight consistently for two more days, he'll be moved to step 4 where they will observe him for 2 more days and if he does well for those two days we get to go home! :) So, if everything goes just right and we have no more set-backs, we could be going home Friday!

Taken just this morning :)

Gifts and flowers we've been given since we got here :)

IS THIS CUTE OR WHAT?!?! I love love love seeing him in clothes now!

Back when he was still in the warmer

One of the many nurses (Andrea) who have fallen in love with Max made him this sign for his crib.
